Personnel

The members of Pacific County Fire District 1 are career and volunteer firefighters, EMS certified personnel, and administrative staff and volunteer support staff.

Working together, we provide our community with the best fire protection and medical aid service available. A quick emergency response, combined with the professionalism and expertise of our members have shown community members that we can be trusted and counted on, no matter what the emergency.

The District is fortunate to be supported by two Volunteer Firefighter Associations. Donations accepted by the Associations are used to help support the District’s goals and objectives. All donations received from the public are placed back into the community through the Association’s various support programs; for example, various pieces of EMS/Fire equipment that may not have otherwise been purchased. Many of the larger items such as gurneys, heart defibrillators, pediatric supply kits and blanket warmers that are found on our ambulances have been purchased by the Associations through donations or estate bequests.

In addition, the Associations take primary responsibility for organizing the Community Halloween Party, the Annual Awards and Recognition Banquet, and the District’s Christmas party.

Local 3999 has seventeen members that are employed with the District. Throughout the year, Union members participated in the local ‘Relay for Life’ event, raising money for the American Cancer Society, and the Muscular Dystrophy Association’s ‘Fill-the-Boot’ event. The Union received the MDA Fill-the-Boot “Rookie of the Year” for raising over $5,700.00 in one day. The Union also purchased children’s bicycles and Christmas food baskets to distribute to needy families in the community.
